Welcome to Japan Official Fan Club

7" red vinyl flexi disc: JAPAN1J

This red vinyl flexidisc was given to Japanese fan club members. It contains short spoken messages from each member of the group plus "Quiet Life". There were apparently 30,000 members of the Japan OFC (as it was called) at the time, so that looks like the quantity manufactured.  This came with an outer folder/picture sleeve with various fan club items.  Thanks to Misako Kamiya and Mark for the information. Mark also provided the scans, which show the front and back of the sleeve. The text on the sleeve (which is what the group say on the record) reads:

David- Hello this is David Sylvian. I'd like to welcome you to the new official Japan Fan Club. I hope that most of you got the chance to see us on our latest tour, and that you enjoyed the shows as much as we did. If you couldn't see us, maybe you will get a get a chance when we return at the end of next year. Thanks for all the letters we've constantly received. And thanks very much for making "Quiet life" such a success.

Rob- Hello members of the new Fan Club. This is Rob Dean. we've had a great time touring in Japan this year. only wish we could do the whole tour again. But hopefully it won't be too long before we play for you again. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. See you again next year.
